What methods are used to prevent identity theft?

We are committed to the security of all personal information and details of borrowers and investors. To ensure the highest level of security, we employ the following safety features on our website:

  • Centralized logging with custom real-time alerts (servers and firewalls), host based intrusion detection, Transmission Control Protocol (“TCP”) wrappers, and state of the art network firewall technology for perimeter level threat protection.
  • We use a dedicated, fully-authenticated virtual private network (“VPN”) connection, along with a Secure Sockets Layer (“SSL”) encryption of the data in order to prevent phishing and other forms of identity theft.  Additionally, we use a secure hypertext transfer protocol (HTTPS) and a VeriSign SSL certificate.  This is used to encrypt all sensitive financial data sent to and from the Peerform website, such as bank account numbers, social security numbers, and other personal information. Finally our site is certified by TRUSTe and is a licensee of the TRUSTe Privacy Seal Program.
  • In addition to providing state of the art anti-intrusion and privacy protection technology, Peerform reviews all communication between browsers and investors to ensure the confidentiality of members.
